Hello reader.

I have a question for you.

It's something that will make you think.

Maybe it's something that will make you wake up.

If today was your day to meet the Lord, what do you think he would say to you?

Would it be well done my faithful servant or will it be depart from me, I never knew you, you worker of inequity.

If today was your day, where are you going?

Are you confident in your answer? Are you satisfied with it?

It's not a question that is meant to spook you but maybe it is if that means it will help you.

It's a question to make you think. Is it making you think? Is it going to sit in your mind?

Is it going to awaken you from your spiritual sleep?

My dear reader, it woke me up.

That was the question that helped grow the seed that was planted inside of me. I was not confident in where I was going. I was not confident in what the Lord would say to me when it would be my time to meet him again.

Do you know the Bible verse, "but Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name..." (Matthew 7:21-23) That was one of the scriptures that awoke something in me to grow out of my lukewarm life.

You can praise God with your mouth, you can scream out prayers, you can sing out worship, you can say that you love Him but, if you do not truly have Him in your heart, if you do not follow His law, if you are not obedient to the Father and watch the way that you live, how can you truly love Him?

The Lord Jesus says in Revelation 3:16, "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot or cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth."

You also cannot serve two masters. (Luke 16:13) Either you will hate the one or love the other.

When I was reading the Bible for the first time and came across these scriptures I just thought, wow. Hot serve the Lord or cold serve the enemy. We cannot be comfortable living in lukewarmness, we cannot stay there. If this is something that you are struggling with, the Lord is calling you out of that today. You need to get right with the Lord. I want heaven crowded, I want all of us there together. If this is something that you're struggling with it is not impossible to get out of. An example of living a lukewarm life I could give you is going to church on a sunday and worshipping the Lord but then the next day you go bar hopping with your friends. Which life style are you living?

The enemy fills our heads with lies but I am here to tell you today that the Lord is calling you to be hot with him. To be with him, to live for him and not for the world. The world is only temporary but the Lord is forever.

He is knocking at the door and it is only half opened for him. Open it fully and see how your life changes. How you will be free from the temptations that you are struggling with, saved from depression and anxiety, open the door fully for him.

As a mother sometimes my children like to do things that they shouldn't do. I'll use my 4 year old as an example. He likes to jump from the table in our sunroom to the couch and as a mother I obviously don't like watching him do that knowing that he can hurt himself. So I will tell him "Son, please don't jump." Then, he will upset at me, "Why mom, why can't I do it?" And when I try to explain to him that he could get hurt he usually still ends up feeling upset because it is fun for him.

As a parent I know better for my children. I understand the circumstances and what could happen. Using that as an example, now put that as the Lords perspective. We have the Bible (His word) given to us full of what to do and what not to do as His children. Not because he doesn't want us to "have fun" or be "strict" but because He doesn't want to see us hurt. He wants us to live with Him when the time comes.

I pray that you will inspect your life to see what you could change to live closer to Him. That your eyes can be opened and your heart unhardened. Live righteously for God today.

1 John 2:17 - "The world and its desires are passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."

Prayer: Lord Father, open up my eyes to Your will. Help me to stop living a comfortable lifestyle. Free me from my temptations and deliver me from the hands of the enemy. Help me to live fully for you.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
1 John 5:14

God bless you.
